Pure, crisp, and incredibly resilient, Zephyranthes candida—famously known as the Autumn Zephyr Lily or White Wind Flower—is a timeless garden classic. This species is beloved globally for its "snow-in-summer" effect, appearing in dazzling white drifts almost immediately after heavy seasonal rains.
Stunning Whiteness: The flowers emerge from delicate, papery sheaths to reveal star-like, upright perianths of brilliant white. Occasionally, the outer petals show a subtle, sophisticated pinkish tint on the underside (abaxial).
Grass-Like Elegance: Its foliage is uniquely slender—only 3 mm wide—creating a dense, deep glossy green tuft that looks like ornamental grass when the plant is not in bloom.
