Breathtakingly architectural and elegantly fragranced, the Crinum moorei—commonly known as the Natal Lily—is a titan of the Amaryllidaceae family. This isn't just a plant; it’s a living sculpture that brings a dramatic, exotic presence to any garden or large-scale container.
Exotic Bell-Shaped Blooms: Rising on massive flower stalks that can reach 1.2 meters or more, each bulb produces a spectacular cluster of 5–10 large, trumpet-to-bell-shaped flowers. The petals range from a pure, luminous white to a delicate, pale pinkish-red.

Heat & Shade Versatility: While it loves the gentle warmth of the morning sun, it is one of the few large exotic lilies that thrives in partly shady places, making it ideal for planting under the canopy of large trees.
Drought Tolerant: While it appreciates regular water, the large bulb acts as a reservoir, making it more resilient than many other tropical-looking perennials.
Pot Culture: Due to its massive root system and foliage, use at least a 10-inch pot for a single bulb. Ensure the pot is heavy enough to anchor the 1.2-meter flower stalks.

Avoid "wet feet" at all costs! To prevent your bulbs or rhizomes from rotting before they wake up, mix a handful of coarse sand or perlite into the bottom of your planting hole. This creates a "drainage pillow" that keeps water from pooling around the base during heavy rains.
